Dr. phil. Markus Baum

former researcher

Dr. phil. Markus Baum is a former research assistant. His research focuses on the fields of social and political philosophy, social theory, the theory and philosophy of history, and methods of normative theories. He is particularly interested in the relationships between subjectivation, aestheticization, digitization, democracy and capitalism as well as spatial, urban and architectural sociological questions. To answer these questions, he can fall back on qualitative methods and methods of social network research.

Since May 1, 2018, he is working at the Katholische Hochschule Nordrhein-Westfalen in Aachen and in the department of "Wohnen, Soziales und Integration" of the City of Aachen as part of the "Karrierewege FH-Professur"-programm ( funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia).
